How We Look Matters

Even in a day and age where texting, twitting, facebooking, emailing and cell phones have become a primary means of communication, how you look plays a vital role in how people perceive you. Oh, you didn't think people were all that shallow? I am sorry to say that it's reality, an unfortunate one... but true. Unless you are a member of a nudist colony or live amongst a tribe that has yet to have contact with the outside world, you need to care about your image. How you are dressed is one of the biggest parts of your image, and it is completely within our control. And yes I get it, I've been there. We all have off days and are entitled to them, but it should not be habit.

For the working woman: Your accomplishments and hard work may speak for themselves, but unless your image speaks to success, you are holding yourself back.

For the stay at home mom: While the misconceptions people may have about how busy you actually are and the reality of your day to day activities differ, keep your look pulled together if not just for you but for your child/children.

For the student: We all know how busy and stressful things can get especially around finals/thesis times or a lazy morning after a late night of partying, but there are many options besides pajama pants in the middle of the day which are easy and comfortable.

For the single woman: It is hard out there to try and find a mate, and resorting to over-the-top sexy clothes is often the easy way to garner attention. Usually though the good ones don't want to feel like what should be reserved just for them, was seen by everyone else with a working set of eyes.

For the married woman: Keeping a marriage alive and well is hard work. Even though the vows say 'through it all', it is only fair to your husband that you attempt to continue to look like the woman he married. (Harsh but true)

The easiest way to tackle any or all of these is simple. Know what clothes and styles work for YOU. Think ahead about what you want to look like on a day to day basis.
